Execution
Adjust footpad or seat so that in the contracted position, the legs are as bent as possible without the hips tucking under and without the heels leaving the footpad (Starting Position). By pressing through the heels, extend out the legs as far as possible without locking the knees (Finishing Position).

Tips and Safety
Do not allow the hips to tuck under.
Do not allow the heels to leave the footpad when in the starting position.
Placing the feet higher on the footpad will place more emphasis on the gluteals and hamstrings, while placing the feet lower on the footpad will place more emphasis on the quadriceps.
